Meditações

Meditation is a practice that slows down the mind and directs the focus of your attention to your body, allowing a state of mindfulness. 

There is no 'correct' position to meditate. You can meditate in any position that is comfortable for you, preferably maintaining a straight back to allow a better flow of energy.

Heart-Mind Coherence

The term coherence implies in an harmonious order, connection, stability and efficient use of energy. In our daily life, coherence happens when things seem to simply flow and we're able to easily adapt.

In the 1990's, scientists discovered a type of coherence that happens in our physical body when our body systems, such as breathing, blood pressure, hormonal response and heart frequency, are synchronized with each other. They also found out this inner coherence positively affects our mental and emotional processes, and this state can be easily created by ourselves. (HearthMath Institute)

This meditation is a simple tool that helps us creating inner coherence. It starts at the heart, expands to the brain and then to the rest of the body. It was transmitted by Alcazar, The Stargate Experience guide, for the benefit of humanity and can be freely used and distributed.

Nervo Vago

Vagus  Nerve Reset

The vagus nerve is part of the autonomic or parasympathetic nervous system that controls the involuntary body functions. It runs throughout the body on both sides, passing through the heart and digestive system.

​

All anxiety, fear and trauma we experience are registered in our body, in the nervous system and organs, mainly in the intestines. 

 

The four exercises below are very simple and help release this retained energy and restart the nervous system. It's advisable to do them in order, if possible twice a day. Note how gradually you'll feel more calm and balanced in your daily life.  

​

After the end of the exercises, you can feel great relaxation or sleepy. If possible, allow yourself a few minutes so your body can adjust to the new configuration. If you're sensitive to energy, notice how the energy flow changes, mainly in the solar plexus. 

 

You'll find simplified instructions that go with the videos below. If you can, listen to the additional explanations that come before the exercise. They're very helpful!

Attention: When doing these exercises, it's possible for emotions or traumatic memories to arise. Allow them to happen and put yourself in the position of an observer, as if you were watching a movie. If it gets too intense or uncomfortable, interrupt the exercise. There is no need to push yourself. Do take your time. In this case, it's advisable to seek a qualified therapist to help you deal with these emotions or traumas. 

Exercise 1 (starts at 1m21s of the video)

  1. Sit in a comfortable position with a straight back. 
    Slowly turn your head from one side to the other. 
    Notice if it's easier to turn to one side.

  2. Lay down with your knees bent and feet on the ground and put your hands behind your back, at least in the first few times. Later you can do this exercise in a sitting position. 

  3. Look to one side without moving your head.
    Maintain this position for 30s or more. 
    Notice if you yawn, sigh, breathe a little deeper, or swallow. Tears, a slight dizziness, coughing and other body reactions are also normal. 

  4. Centralize your gaze to stabilize. 

  5. Look to the other side without moving your head.
    Maintain this position for 30s or until you yawn, sigh etc.  

  6. Centralize your gaze to stabilize. 

  7. Sit up and turn your head slowly from side to side. 
    Notice if it's easier to move.  

Exercise 2 (starts at 5m29s of the video)

​

  1. Sit in a comfortable position with a straight back. 

  2. Put one of your hands above your head and incline the head in the shoulder's direction. There's no need to force the position. 

  3. Keep your head inclined without moving and direct your gaze in the direction opposite to your shoulder and upwards.
    Maintain this position for 30s or more. 
    Notice if you yawn, sigh, breathe a little deeper, or swallow. Tears, a slight dizziness, coughing and other body reactions are also normal. 

  4. Centralize your gaze and release the position to stabilize. 

  5. Repeat the position on the other side.
    Maintain this position for 30s or until you yawn, sigh etc.

  6. Centralize your gaze and release the position to stabilize. 

Exercise 3 (starts at 7m36s of the video)

​

  1. Sit in a comfortable position with a straight back.. 

  2. Repeat the previous position putting one of the hands over your head and incline the head in the shoulder's direction. 
    There's no need to force the position.

  3. Put the other hand on your ribs and put a little pressure causing the spine to bend slightly. (If you have back issues, minimize the curvature or skip this exercise.)

  4. Keep your head inclined without moving and direct your gaze in the direction opposite to your shoulder and upwards.
    Maintain this position for 30s or more. 
    Notice if you yawn, sigh, breathe a little deeper, or swallow. Tears, a slight dizziness, coughing and other body reactions are also normal. 

  5. Centralize your gaze and release the position to stabilize. 

  6. Repeat the position on the other side.
    Maintain this position for 30s or until you yawn, sigh etc.

  7. Centralize your gaze and release the position to stabilize.  

Exercise 4 (starts at 11m43s of the video)

  1. Lay down on your stomach.

  2. Raise your chest supporting yourself on your elbows at a 90 degree angle with your hands facing down. 

  3. Maintain the head up and turn it to one side looking back over your shoulder. 
    Maintain the position for 30s or more.  
    Notice if you yawn, sigh, breathe a little deeper, or swallow. Tears, a slight dizziness, coughing and other body reactions are also normal. 

  4. Centralize your gaze and release the position to stabilize. 

  5. Repeat the position on the other side.
    Maintain this position for 30s or until you yawn, sigh etc.

  6. Centralize your gaze and release the position to stabilize.
